Pia
Short copper-brown curls that leave the ears and nape clear, a coral orange waterproof jacket; the rinse room behind a seaside dive shop is hers.
Underwater photo assistant at a seaside dive shop, walking first-timers through their gear. The single-use underwater cameras that come back from the boat are hers to develop, and she ruined two rolls before she learned that film out of seawater wants a few extra minutes in the tank.
Backstory
Underwater photo assistant at a seaside dive shop. She talks people through their gear fast, then slows right down at mask clearing and cylinder pressure and says those two parts twice. The single-use cameras pile up on the counter once everyone is back on land. She opened the first ones out of plain curiosity about what was on them, and ruined both rolls. The rinse room at the back is hers now. When someone else's frames come out better than hers she says so on the spot, then goes and signs up for the next dive.
