For some people, a matching life isn't part of the pull. Two different ways of living can be the interesting part. For others it's non-negotiable. The pace of a week, how money gets used, where the years are headed: it all has to be one road. This axis never asks which life you want; that's yours. It only asks how much you need the other person on your road. It goes into the trade-offs beside warmth, vitality and standing, and where you rank it when you can't have everything says more than anything you'd put in words.
